Everyone learns in school that one of the biggest turning points of the American Revolution is George Washington's ability to motivate his troops and survive the winter at and around Valley Forge. What people don't often talk about, is just how was this feat done?
The year is 1777 and Washington was leading the Continental Army against the British. Throughout the first two years of the war, the Continental's were suffering defeat after defeat. The army was demoralized, frustrated and losing faith and hope in the cause. Washington, being a hard-working farmer, started realizing a few contributing factors. On one occasion Washington walked up to a group of men sitting at a fire preparing a deer they had recently killed. He overheard one arguing that he was frustrated with the way they were approaching the fighting. "Sneaking up and learning ambush tactics is challenging. I never know where I am supposed to be or when to strike. I wish we went back to standing in lines and just shooting at each other face to face. It was so much easier".

It has been a long delay with planning for more material, so I figured why not go with something big! Something that is in no way controversial and that nobody will have varying opinions on.... Politics! With the primaries heating up and candidates that would like the most powerful position in the country are insulting each others families, criticizing others ability to understand Spanish and finding new and unique ways to completely avoid answering questions that are pretty straightforward. I figured this would be the best time to state the 5 reasons that Donald Trump is the clear best candidate, for reasons that cannot even be argued!
Rather than going through week by week, I am going to impart my wisdom and just spoil the entire playoffs.,... In all reality, let's see how many of these are close to being right but here are my 'expert' predictions. I also am not the best with grammar and mechanics, please ignore mistakes.
Every year people make these resolutions to fix or help their life. Often we hear people say they will go to the gym more often (which you see in spikes with gym membership starting the first week in January), eating healthier or quitting bad habits like smoking or excessive drinking. It's always been a stupid concept in my mind. "On January 1st I will start doing things to make myself healthy!"... Why not start on December 23rd, or November 16th or June 2nd? Why does it need to be January 1st? I debated this with a few members of my family and realized the point I was trying to make was not that it was a bad decision to make resolutions, clearly it can be good. The point I was trying to get across was
Those who know me know I am a pretty massive Super Smash Brothers Melee fan. I hate the first game because everyone played it way more than me so when we did free for all's I was always destroyed and never really enjoyed it. The newer games were much of the same, and I never could figure out the flow of the game. The Gamecube version is the most sold for the Gamecube console (7.09 million copies) and is one of the highest regarded. The game can be sold now for typically around $75 but I have seen it go for north of $100. This game has consumed many hours of gameplay for me and my friends and this is a list of my favorite/best 10 characters to play as.
10. Falco It isn’t an easy fix. Finding a way to remedy the lack of upper card draws for WWE. I recently looked back over 2001 and saw how they built large superstars over the course of the year. The main title saw numerous talents like Austin, Rock, Kurt Angle, HHH, Booker T, Undertaker, Kane, Jericho, Benoit and RVD. These all had huge star potential because they were put on the main stage. There was none of this “so and so isn’t ready to main event” or having feuds last between two individuals for 3 months at a time without outward interference. That said, I am looking to create a build up for a pay per view that I personally think would be a step in the right direction. This is using the immediate talent available (excluding Cena, Orton, Cesaro, Rollins, Kidd, Barrett, etc for injuries or time off).
THIS IS A GENERIC PPV. NOT ROYAL RUMBLE, SURVIVOR SERIES, SUMMERSLAM OR MANIA. Throughout the week the New Day is bragging about how they have just defeated the Uso’s and Lucha Dragons. They early defeated the Dudleyz and earned the titles from PTP. Effectively, there are no more challengers that represent a problem for them and they feel they should be rewarded with getting the PPV off. Big Show comes out as a new corporate figure in-charge of RAW (Not superseding HHH or Stephanie, but being directly in-charge of managerial duties). He says that WWE was built on fighting champions and wants to know if the crowd thinks the New Day should get the weekend off or if they should put the titles on the line? When I was in 8th grade my mom decided it was time I started doing my own laundry. Throwing stuff in and picking the settings and then folding it when it was done. I quickly learned it was way easier to put the setting on cold water and neglect separating clothes into colors (I never had enough for a full load of whites anyway). The beginning process is super easy, pick the setting and let the machine do the work. Then you hear that fateful buzz of the dryer. The clothes are done and now you have to fold them......
Folding clothes is the worst chore in the world (especially when you have a lot to fold at the same time). Where do you start? There is probably not enough room to fit everything on your bed when it's folded so you have to do it in sections. BUT you don't want to make multiple trips to the closet or open the same drawer multiple times if you don't have to. Pop Quiz: Who are the three site contributors that are pictured below? That warm tingling sensation, the intense urge to make it bigger and bigger, the hotter it gets the less clothes you have to wear.... No this isn't love making, this is better. Most everyone understands that mesmerizing sensation where you are sitting around the fire and can't look away. What is it about watching pieces of wood flare up and disappear, all while having red/orange/yellow/blue/green/purple (not all of these colors are good) flames erupt from the pit creating a warm environment which exudes calm and comfort. Why is this so?
So, the Challenge returned last night with a couple interesting twists. For years we have seen the same loved and hated personalities return to the Challenge's to compete for large amounts of money. This season 50% of the participants are brand new to any form of MTV programming. Bloodlines takes a cast member and places them in the game paired up with a loved one (brother, sister or cousin). Anyone who has watched the Challenge's know that there are many heated moments and altercations, many times where people do things they are embarrassed about and regret later. With a family member present, these altercations will only expand (you see from the first episode what happens when you start something with Nany and Nicole) and your decisions can negatively affect those around you (you see this with how hard
This is my top 10 favorite heroes. You will notice most are Marvel, personally I feel that DC has the best villains but their heroes are lacking for me. This is almost 100% based off of movies/tv shows/games, as I have only really read one or two magazines and the knowledge for those just aren't there. Here ya go, enjoy.
Honorable mention: Nightwing, Drax, Star Lord, Heimdal, Bishop, Ghostrider, Jessica Jones, Storm, Invisible Woman, Catwoman. Also if you would include Sabertooth and Loki (as they do various good things in addition to the bad) then they would definitely be up there. |
