The Awakening (2011) is up on Netflix (for anyone interested in watching) and I strongly recommend it. I watched it during the Halloween season, so was more in the mindset, but overall the story was pretty strong. Rebecca Hall plays Florence Cathcart, a woman who makes it her life goal to convince everyone else that ghosts do not exist. Florence eventually makes it to a boys school, where a young ghost is tormenting the children and preventing them from sleeping and getting their work done. Florence starts believing that she too is seeing a ghost and struggles with her conceptions of what is real, what is in her head, and what is supernatural. The story flows nicely, and has a level of mystique that keeps you interested in it. Rebecca plays her character very well, the other actors/actresses did good jobs as well. There was a really interesting twist at the end that I did not see coming (I normally feel like I am able to pick up on twists quickly). Overall I would recommend a watch. Cory
